Carry-on luggage that fits airline limits

Buy to the size, not the brand. These sizes work across the airlines we track.

Carry-on for every airline we track

50 x 35 x 20 cm or smaller

A bag this size fits the overhead limits of all 19 airlines in our table. Go up to 55 x 35 x 20 cm and it still fits 18 of them, but not Qatar Airways, whose longest side is 50 cm.

US-size carry-on

56 x 35 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in)

Fits United, American and Delta, but is too big for Air France, KLM and Ryanair's overhead limits. Check before flying in Europe or Asia.
