Travel eSIM for Turkey: how to choose a data plan

Land in Turkey with data already working. Here's how to pick a plan.

Before you buy

Check your phone supports eSIM and is not locked to your carrier.
Match the plan length to your trip, and allow for a day either side.
Estimate data: maps and messaging use little; video calls and streaming use a lot.
If you need to share data with a laptop, check the plan allows hotspot use.

Install the eSIM over Wi-Fi before you leave home, but leave the line switched off.
When you land, turn the eSIM line on and turn on data roaming for that line.
Keep your home SIM for calls and texts if you need them, or switch it off to avoid roaming charges.
